Flatland Farm, LLC is a sustainable family farm that raises Registered Scottish Highland Cattle and heritage breed rabbits in southern Minnesota. We sell breeding stock and beef by the quarters, halves and whole animal. We want all our customers to be happy with what they purchase from us and we therefore strive for top notch customer service. We harvest our animals humanely and our animals are always treated with respect. All of our animals are halter broken and accustomed to being
handled. We travel with our animals to shows and other promotional activities, so our
animals are up to date on vaccinations. We believe our Highlands are excellent converters of grass to meat. Along with high quality grass or hay, our animals always have access to ater and free choice mineral and salt.

Our cows are the following colors: red, yellow, white, black, dun. We have had calves of all these colors plus brindle and silver.

We show for fun and to help us evaluate our animals. We are proud to say that we own
the 2010 AHCA Show Cow/Calf of the Year and the 2012 NCHCA Regional Show
Reserve Grand Champion Female. We have bred to following champions: 2013 NCHCA Regional Show Grand Champion Female, 2015 NCHCA Jr.  Show Grand Champion Female, 2015 MN 4-H Champion Commercial Cow/Calf, 2015 MN 4-H Champion AOB Heifer, 2015 Cornhusker State Highland Classic Reserve Grand Champion Steer, and 2016 NWSS Grand Champion Crossbred Prospect Steer.

We have 32 acres on 3 farms that we use to graze our animals. We use intensive
rotational grazing to maximize our forage use because of our small size. We always welcome visitors and questions. Please contact us to schedule a visit to the farm!

Apricot Lane Farm in California was featured as a video short on Oprah's Super Soul Sunday March 24th. The filming is lovely, and the video includes shots of both TwinFlower Wesley, Grand Champion Bull at the 2011 NWSS and LEA Firefly, both purchased from Midwest members at the National Sale in 2011.
